Safety Audits

shutterstock_7794451We perform safety auditing for  clients who want to be reassured that safety performance is satisfactory. They like the fact that our audits are focused, comprehensive, relevant and independent.

We look at high risk safety areas such as fire safety, legionella, asbestos management, accidents and incidents and lone working. We work very hard to give recommendations that are practical, cost effective and proportionate.

We also carry out in-depth auditing of a particular service or a function. This is useful where there may be a safety performance gap which needs investigating. Alternatively, clients may be preparing an entry for a safety award such as RoSPA or applying for CHAS accreditation. Alternatively they may be implementing an ISO 45001 safety management system.

Finally, we carry out desk top safety audits for those organisations where it may not be practical to carry out an on-site safety audit, for example, where they have a large number of small, geographically dispersed staffed locations. The manager of the location is emailed an audit questionnaire to complete and asked to attach evidence that we specify, using Zoom where appropriate. This service provides a solution that is both effective and value for money.

“We have worked with Cooper Bassett for many years, and during that time have benefited from a high level of professional support and advice at a reasonable cost.  As part of their service they provide advice on a range of areas including legislation changes, risk assessments, safety audits and updating our H&S manual as well as providing our mandatory H&S training During this time they provided a prompt and efficient service that is regularly used by the Facilities team, and also an advice line to staff.”
